Verification boundaries
Transparency statement
Defacta uses AI-assisted verification to make evidence, uncertainty, and reasoning easier to inspect. It does not make truth automatic.
How to read reports
Reports summarize what the system could verify from available inputs, cited sources, extracted source text, and configured analysis modes.
Scores and labels are decision aids. They should be read alongside the evidence, caveats, inaccessible-source notes, and original material.
Known limits
Source availability, extraction quality, model behavior, ambiguous language, and rapidly changing events can affect report quality.
A report can miss issues, overstate confidence, or reflect limitations in the submitted material or reachable evidence.
Human responsibility
Defacta is intended to support human review. Final decisions, publication choices, and high-stakes actions remain with the user or organization.
